The colours reappear. The flowers have grown. The blue bird still sings the same old tune.
VED DHILAN ROY JISSUREY
This is a photograph of a sculpture I have made based on a poem I have written:
”The colours reappear. The flowers have grown. The blue bird still sings the same old tune.”
‘The colours reappearing’ is analogous to summer, my favourite period of the year. The blue bird still singing the same old tune is analogous to the lockdown in England, a situation which lingers. The flowers being sculpted and therefore not real, serve to show that despite summer being around, because of the global pandemic, there is something different about the flowers which have grown this summer.
