Plaster for the soul
ANDREA PISLARU
My practice focuses on using my body as a tool in art in relation to themes such as identity, objectification, and self-exploration. Through this piece, I am creating an access point for people to think deeper about the limits and possibilities of our bodies. The process consists of applying paint on my breasts and hands and jumping into the wall. While the bedding piece implies the idea of an intimate background, the paint captures every gesture of self-expression by exploring non-traditional painting techniques.
