It’s been difficult for many students. As a teenage artist, I found that it is imperative to keep working towards your dreams and goals. Even in the worst times, a student obsessed with over-achieving will continue to do so.

And so this piece was born, out of the emotional stressors remote learning has given me. My recent dual enrollment college classes have ended on a bittersweet note, and my high school is assigning more work than ever.

It is dark to live in a state where I have to think “I must keep working hard, or there will be no fruitful end.”
