MARGOT LOCHRIN

A self portrait revealing my apprehension of what is happening close to home and around the world. Many layers of paint, warm and cold, that reflect my changing moods and emotions. Trying to have the fire in my heart of optimism reach my head. A slight smile, or is it a wry one?

Acrylic on cotton canvas.

My art has always been a secret, a way to express my emotions and to. I have had a meandering career path (banking, accountancy, academic, speech therapist) and am married with 3 children (2 still at school). In my art, I find truth, comfort at times and expressions that only exist in art.
